MoM Health is a prospective cohort study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh, aiming to examine sedentary behavior and its impact on cardiovascular health during pregnancy. The study enrolled 120 pregnant women from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the United States of America, and 105 participants contributing complete data across all three trimesters. Recruitment took place between March 2017 and June 2019 through media advertisements, information tables, clinical registries, and referrals from healthcare providers at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Participants were aged 18 to 45 years and all were in their first pregnancy. Participants were followed up three times during pregnancy: once in each trimester - at approximately 8 to 13 weeks, 20 to 22 weeks, and 32 to 34 weeks gestation.
