The MrOS Sweden study aims to identify the risk factors for osteoporosis and fractures in older men. The study began in 2001, including over 3,000 men aged 69 to 81 from Gothenburg, Malmö, and Uppsala in Sweden. Participants have been followed up twice since baseline: 3 years after baseline and 5 years after, with regular follow-ups also done through linkage to population registries.
