Marriage Transitions in Malawi Project (MTM)

The MTM project followed young men and women who were unmarried at recruitment and based in Salima, Malawi. The women were aged between 15 and 21 years at baseline, and the men were aged between 18 and 25 years at baseline. The participants were approximately 50% female. The cohort was followed for two years, through three main survey waves between 2007 and 2009, with interim surveys between the full surveys.
