Sample details

The Multicenter Prospective Stroke Cohort in Korea, led by the Korean-Vascular Cognitive Impairment Harmonisation Standards (K-VCIHS) Study Group, is a longitudinal study involving 620 participants from South Korea. It focuses on cognitive impairment after stroke. Participants were recruited within 7 days of ischemic stroke onset from 12 university hospitals across South Korea between 2007 and 2008. The cohort consists of patients from a range of ages and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Follow-up assessments were conducted at 3 months post-stroke to evaluate cognitive function using the K-VCIHS neuropsychological protocol.
