Sample details

The MyHeART Study investigated the predictors of non-communicable diseases in adolescents in Malaysia. The study recruited Form 1 secondary school students aged 13 from Selangor, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, and Perak in central and northern Malaysia. All students included in the study were able to read Malay. This resulted in a baseline cohort of over 1,300 participants from Malay, Chinese, and other ethnic groups.
