The Mothers’ and Young People’s Study is a multi-wave, prospective cohort study examining the health and well-being of over 1,500 first-time mothers and their firstborn children, recruited from six Melbourne (Australia) metropolitan hospitals between 2003 and 2005. Participants were nulliparous women aged 18 years or older, between 10 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, and proficient in English. Women with multiple pregnancies, stillbirths, neonatal deaths, or serious maternal illnesses were included in the cohort.
