Sample details

The Mysore Parthenon Cohort follows a cohort of over 650 children and their parents in the city of Mysore, India. Pregnant women booking consecutively into the antenatal clinics of CSI Holdsworth Memorial Hospital, a maternity hospital in Mysore, were initially recruited for the study between June 1997 and August 1998, with births occurring across 1998 and 1999. Whilst 830 pregnant women and their partners initially took part, only 663 had live births without major anomalies seen at birth and continued in the cohort.
