The NACDA aims to bring together de-identified person-level data collected across aged care, health and community service settings for aged care research purposes. It contains data on over 4.1 million people who used one or more government-funded aged care programs or received an aged care eligibility assessment between 1997 and 2022 in Australia. The NACDA links the National Aged Care Data Clearinghouse (NACDC), which contains information on Australian government-funded aged care programs and assessments, to other government data, including benefits, medication, healthcare and mortality data. Data will continue to be added to the NACDA and, in August 2025, will be updated to incorporate data up to June 2024.
