The Nahuche HDSS provides longitudinal socio-demographic and health event data for over 125,000 individuals living in the village of Nahuche, located in Zamfara State, north-western Nigeria. Amongst the baseline surveillance population, 50.9% of individuals were <15 years, with a mean age of 19.6 years across the entire population. Baseline census data collection occurred from September to December 2010, with surveillance members followed up every 180 days/biannually.
