The NCWWI aimed to improve the child welfare workforce's health and functioning in the United States of America. NCWWI conducted COHAs for staff at four public child welfare agencies at two time points to identify critical workforce strengths and challenges. In 2019, approximately 4,000 participants completed the baseline COHA survey. Between 2022 and 2023, participants completed the follow-up COHA survey, with around 1,300 participants completing both surveys.
