Sample details

NDR collects data on adult diabetic patients across Sweden to improve diabetic care. Recruited participants are adults aged at least 18 and residents of Sweden who have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus. Since 1996, the number of participants has grown from over 23,000 to over 630,000 as of 2023, and the register continues to enrol new participants. NDR collects routine data from participants' healthcare records, allowing continuous follow-up to monitor health outcomes and treatment efficacy.
