Sample details

NEPS is a longitudinal, multi-cohort study investigating the development of competencies and educational trajectories of individuals in Germany. NEPS SC5 Students covers the period from higher education to the labour market. This cohort focuses on educational choices, the outcomes of university education, and the entry into the job market. Between 2010 and 2011, NEPS SC5 Students recruited approximately 17,900 first-year students in public or state-approved institutions of higher education in Germany. Participants were followed annually or biannually until 2022. NEPS will continue under the new title NEPS next, with data collection planned approximately every five years.
