Sample details

The NeuroIMAGE study is a follow-up of the Dutch cohort of the International Multicenter ADHD Genetics (IMAGE) project. The study aims to investigate the course of ADHD, its genetic and environmental determinants, its cognitive and neurobiological underpinnings, and its consequences in adolescence and adulthood. NeuroIMAGE follows participants of the Dutch IMAGE study and additional participants recruited from the Netherlands to replenish the cohort. Over 1,000 children and around 850 parents participated in NeuroIMAGE, including children with ADHD and without ADHD. Participants included in the IMAGE cohort underwent baseline assessment from 2003 to 2006 and completed a follow-up from 2008 to 2009. All participants completed the NeuroIMAGE assessment from 2009 to 2012, and as of 2018, there was a NeuroIMAGE II follow-up underway.
