The NNRD collects data about the care of babies admitted to NHS neonatal units and is maintained by the Neonatal Data Analysis Unit (NDAU), based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Campus of Imperial College London. It is a national resource holding clinical data captured in the course of care on all admissions to NHS neonatal units in England, Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Man. At present, there is information on over one million babies collected since the beginning of the project in 2007. Baseline data is collected from the infants at birth and there is a follow-up on their development at two years old.
