The Nor-Work cohort was established to investigate differences in health, labour force participation, and related outcomes in the Norwegian population, with a specific focus on how these are associated with occupation and occupational exposures. The cohort includes approximately 5.8 million individuals born between 1930 and 1992 who have ever lived and/or worked in Norway, identified through several national administrative records. Data are available through national registries, beginning in 1960 and continuing to the present; however, availability varies depending on the type of registry. Most follow-up data are collected annually, but some are collected on an event-specific basis. Participants are recruited from birth, the first date of immigration to Norway, or the date of registered employment in Norway, and are followed until death, as long as they are working and/or residing in Norway.
