The NORDCAP project studies how preterm birth and maternal pregnancy disorders predict offspring health, well-being, and societal achievements of the offspring from childhood to adulthood. The NORDCAP study population includes all births in Finland during 1987-2023, with approximately 2,100,000 children identified. Also included in NORDCAP is a study of individuals born in Finland from 1987-1990. All participants were identified from the Finnish Medical Birth Register. Both studies use only register-based information.
