Sample details

The NCS aims to study the biological, social, economic and psychological determinants of ageing, to raise awareness among the citizens involved, encouraging the adoption of healthy choices, and developing recommendations for healthy ageing. Over 120 participants aged 35 years and older completed baseline data collection for the pilot study from 2022 to 2023. The study aims to recruit 10,000 participants aged 18 years and older from the Novara area in Northern Italy, and recruitment is ongoing. Participants will be followed up after three to five years, and the study aims to continue for 30 years.
