The NOVI study aims to understand the neurodevelopmental trajectories of very preterm infants. Between 2014 and 2016, mothers aged 18 years and above and their infants born at less than 30 weeks of gestational age were recruited from nine neonatal intensive care units across seven cities in the United States of America. Data were collected at neonatal unit discharge and through annual follow-ups from ages 2 to 5. The study plans to continue tracking participants until infants are 7 years old.
