NVVLS is a 25-year follow-up of the National Vietnam Veterans Readjustment Study (NVVRS) that surveyed a representative cohort of US veterans who served during the Vietnam War era between 1964 and 1975. Of the 2,348 participants first assessed in the NVVRS between 1984 and 1988, a total of 1,450 veterans were followed up in at least one of the NVVLS study components between 2012 and 2013, with the aim of assessing the long-term course of PTSD.
