The NYU Women's Health Study aims to investigate causes of cancer and other chronic diseases in women to identify potential prevention strategies. Participants are women aged 35 to 65 years recruited from a mammography breast-screening clinic in New York City, the United States of America. Over 14,000 women completed baseline assessment from 1985 to 1991. Participants have been followed up with every 3 to 5 years, with a total of 9 follow-ups as of 2025.
