The NZHT is a health census of people living in New Zealand created through the linkage of data in the Ministry of Health’s national collections, including hospitalisations, mortality, cancer registrations, mental health and addiction service use, pharmaceutical and laboratory claims, primary health care enrolment, and outpatient/emergency department visits. The tracker includes data collected between 2006 and 2014 from over 4 million New Zealand residents who had contact with health services in New Zealand between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2008.
