The Ohasama Study, which began in 1986, examines how resting, home, and ambulatory blood pressure relate to cardiovascular disease risk among residents of Ohasama, Japan. Between 1988 and 1995, the study recruited and assessed 3,090 residents of Ohasama aged 35 years and older. Since 1997, follow‐up examinations have been conducted every four years.
