The Our Lives Project is an ongoing longitudinal study of young people from Queensland, Australia, who began high school in 2006 when they were 12-13 years into adulthood. The sample was drawn from the 457 secondary schools in Queensland, Australia, and 213 of the 386 schools contacted participated in the study. Of the baseline sample, 4% were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (n = 274), 6% were born overseas in an English-speaking background country (n = 400,) and 4% were born overseas in a non-English-speaking background country (n = 271). The cohort of students has been followed up every 2-3 years since inception with an additional survey during the COVID-19 pandemic.
