The PACCT study investigated the effects of Early Caregiving Adversities (ECAs) on psychosocial and neurobiological outcomes within a cohort of nearly 350 school-aged children with heterogeneous exposures to ECAs. The cohort included children aged 5 - 12 with a history of significant ECA exposure and a comparison group with no reported ECA exposure. Most participants resided in the New York metropolitan area of the United States of America. The children were followed up with neuroimaging, behavioural, and self/caregiver reports every 15 months for 2.5 years. The parents/guardians also completed a brief set of follow-up questionnaires via phone or online, seven months after each in-lab session.
