The study aimed to examine the impacts of childhood sexual abuse on maternal attitudes, perceptions, and behaviours. At baseline, all participants were pregnant and registered for prenatal care, at least 18 years old, and spoke English. A total of 357 women completed the baseline data collection during a regular prenatal visit between 28 and 32 weeks gestation. Almost 74% of the sample was African American, and 22.8% of the women were married, with an additional 10% reported as living with a male partner.
