Sample details

The Pathways in ASD study examines the development of children and adolescents with ASD. In 2005, over 400 children with ASD were recruited at the time of diagnosis when aged between 2 and 4 years from 5 Canadian provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia). Participants have been assessed approximately annually across three stages of development: Phase I, early childhood (from the age of diagnosis to 6 years); Phase II, school-age (7 to 11 years); and Phase III, adolescence to emerging adulthood (12 to 19 years).
