Sample details

PHAMOUS combines a yearly somatic screening with routine outcome assessment in patients using antipsychotics. The participants included in this study originate from the northern part of the Netherlands, were in care at one of four mental healthcare institutions, fulfilled the DSM-IV criteria for schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder or other psychotic disorders, and were aged 18 years and older. The study is part of the PHAMOUS project, which involves mapping the outcomes of psychiatric patients who are treated with medication to share with the practitioner who, together with the patient, then adjusts the treatment plan based on the screening.
