The PATH Study is a nationally representative, longitudinal cohort study of adults and youth. The study follows three cohorts. The Wave 1 Cohort participants were selected using a probability sample (conducted September 12, 2013, to December 14, 2014) when they were ages 9 and older. The Wave 4 Cohort participants were selected using a probability replenishment sample (conducted December 1, 2016, to January 3, 2018) when they were ages 10 and older, combined with Wave 1 Cohort members. The Wave 7 Cohort participants were selected using a probability replenishment sample (conducted January 6, 2022, to April 2, 2023) when they were ages 9 and older, combined with members of the Wave 4 Cohort.
