PROGNOS is a nationwide, multicenter registry in the Netherlands that aims to standardize data collection, unify neuromonitoring reports, and establish structured follow-up procedures for children who experience cardiac arrest. The registry involves approximately 500 children, as of April 2025, under the age of 18, with a previous event of cardiac arrest. Initial assessments occur at 3 to 6 months post-discharge, with the repeated assessments following 12, 24 months post-arrest; and at the ages of 5, 8, 12, and 17 years. No end date is set for the registry; it will remain open for ongoing data entry and hypothesis generation.
