PROPOLIS was designed to determine the significance of delirium in the course and outcome of stroke and cardiovascular events. The study recruited patients 18 years and older admitted to the Stroke Unit of the University Hospital in Krakow, Poland, within 48 hours of first symptoms of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, or transient ischaemic attack (TIA) between June 2014 and March 2016. This resulted in a baseline cohort of 750 participants at baseline.
