Sample details

The PT100 aimed to describe the characteristics of a sample of Portuguese centenarians and their overall personal characteristics and living arrangements. Participants were approximately 140 individuals aged 100 years or older living in the Oporto Metropolitan Area in Portugal. Baseline data was collected face-to-face from 2013 to 2014, and participants were assessed by telephone interview every six months to assess overall health condition and, in case of death, its cause. The last telephone contact was made in June 2019.
