The Pulmolines cohort is the primary cohort framework within the Groningen Research Institute for Asthma and COPD (GRIAC) in the Netherlands. The Pulmolines - Stop smoking cohort recruited individuals from Groningen in the Netherlands with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) and healthy controls who were aged at least 65 years. At baseline, 60 individuals were part of the study and were followed through medical records and physical examinations between 2000 and 2004.
