RADAR-MDD is one of 9 work packages in the RADAR-CNS: Remote Assessment of Disease and Relapse – Central Nervous System program. Eligibility criteria for RADAR-MDD included a recent diagnosis of non-psychotic MDD, recurrent MDD episodes, willingness to complete smartphone assessments, proficiency in specified languages, possession of or readiness to switch to an Android smartphone, and 18 or older. Recruitment took place through various channels, such as existing research cohorts, mental health services, and online advertisements, with participants undergoing detailed baseline assessments upon providing written consent. Participants were recruited from King's College London in the UK, Amsterdam University Medical Centre in the Netherlands, and Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red in Spain.
