CSN is an open registry of individuals with hypertension from all over Italy. Beginning in 1998, the registry recruited patients aged 18 to 85 years who had been diagnosed with hypertension from 23 hypertension clinics and 60 general practitioners in the Campania region of southern Italy. As of 2016, the study included over 15,000 patients. Participants are seen once a year and followed up through administrative data linkage.
