The ReGAl project is a large longitudinal Italian multicentric clinical-based study, funded by the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics (SIGG). The project follows individuals over the age of 50 with cognitive deficits and dementia attending one of 33 Italian Geriatric memory clinics. Participants were recruited from January 2001 to December 2005, and since the first wave of data collection, the sample grew to involve a total of 4,075 patients.
