Sample details

The Rhea Study follows a cohort of over 1,600 pregnant women and their children across the wider Heraklion region of Crete, Greece. The pregnant women were recruited between February 2007 to February 2008 at their first routinely scheduled major ultrasound test during the first trimester of pregnancy, across four antenatal clinics in Heraklion city. Over 1,300 of the recruited women were followed until delivery, with later recruitment at birth including over 90 additional mother-child pairs.
