The RHS is a nationally representative cohort study, aimed at understanding the health, financial, and social well-being of older adults in Singapore. The study began in 2014, with 15,013 participants aged 45 to 85 years, representing a diverse demographic including Chinese, Malay, Indian, and other ethnic groups. Since 2014, the study has conducted four waves of data collection and has assessed over 20,000 participants collectively, with individuals followed up every two years to ensure continuous and comprehensive data collection.
