RICARTO aims to assess cardiovascular risk by investigating the prevalence of risk factors, target organ damage and cardiovascular disease in the general population of Toledo, Spain. Almost 2,000 adult participants were recruited from the Toledo healthcare area. Baseline data collection began in 2011, and the study plans to follow participants for at least 5 years.
