RLMS-HSE is a series of nationally representative surveys designed to monitor the effects of Russian reforms on the health and economic welfare of households and individuals in the Russian Federation. Data have been collected annually (with two exceptions) since 1994. The starting sample in 1994 included 8,893 adults, 2,397 children, 3,975 households, and 157 communities.
