The RALS is a 50-year, 4-cohort, 1,200 participant, 5-wave sequential study of Eriksonian psychosocial development in adulthood. It is an accelerated cohort sequential design. There are four cohorts that were assessed, who graduated from the University of Rochester, United States, in 1965-1968 (Cohort 1), 1976-1977 (Cohort 2), 1988-1989 (Cohort 3), and 2000-2002 (Cohort 4). Cohort 1 has five waves of data; Cohort 2 has four waves of data; Cohort 3 has three waves of data; Cohort 4 has two waves of data.
