The RODAM study follows a cohort of adult Ghanaians in Ghana and in Europe after migration. Between 2012 and 2015, the study recruited adults aged 25 to 70 years from rural and urban locations in Ghana. Participants were also recruited from Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. At baseline, over 5,000 participants were included in the study. Participants resident in Ghana and the Netherlands were followed up between 2019 and 2021.
