Sample details

The Kaiser Permanente Research Bank (KP Research Bank) includes a general cohort, a pregnancy cohort (RPGEH Pregnancy Cohort), and a cancer cohort. The RPGEH Pregnancy Cohort was established to understand the factors influencing women’s and children’s health. Between 2010 and 2018, the study recruited around 25,000 pregnant women aged 18 or older who initiated prenatal care at a Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC) medical facility in the United States of America. Data has been collected during participants' first and second trimesters of pregnancy and from linked electronic health records. Participants and their children are included in the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program, with plans to follow 2,130 children until 2030.
