The SCHEDULE-P study aimed to assess the effect of nurturing care on the early childhood development status of children aged 3 to 6 in Shanghai, China. The study recruited 3-year-old children beginning kindergarten in 2016 from public and private kindergartens across Shanghai's central urban area, suburbs, and outer suburbs, including Changning, Baoshan, and Songjiang districts. This resulted in over 20,000 participants at baseline from a variety of income levels and areas of Shanghai.
