SEATON is a United Kingdom based birth cohort established to investigate how maternal diet during pregnancy influences childhood asthma and atopic disease. The cohort comprises 1,924 singleton children born to 2,000 pregnant women who were recruited between 1997 and 1999 while attending their first antenatal clinic appointment at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital in Scotland. The children and their mothers have been followed up at ages 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, and 25 years.
