The Seguimos Avanzando study aims to evaluate cultural values and family processes that may moderate associations between daily racial-ethnic discrimination and distress among Mexican-origin youth. A sample of 344 adolescents aged 12 to 15 participated in the study, which also collected data from caregivers. Caregivers and adolescents had to be of Mexican descent and were recruited from the Midwestern United States. Baseline data at Wave 1 was collected from 2019 to 2022 and included a 21-day daily diary survey completed by the participants immediately after the main Wave 1 data. There are three yearly waves planned for future longitudinal data.
