The SEOSI cohort was designed to evaluate the impact of the Safer Injection Facility Insite in Downtown Eastside, Vancouver, Canada. The study recruited a representative sample of intravenous drug users (IDUs) from Insite, aged 19 - 64 years, who generally resided in Vancouver, Canada. At baseline, over 1,000 people were included in the SEOSI cohort. Participants were interviewed at baseline and followed up at least once. Several sub-studies were conducted with various groups of SEOSI cohort participants.
