Sample details

The Stanford WELL for Life Study (WELL) is a unique longitudinal study on well-being in the U.S. and globally. The study collects comprehensive and multidimensional data from participants across six international study sites that span from the San Francisco Bay Area to China (Hangzhou), Taiwan (Taipei and Changhua), Singapore, and Thailand (Bangkok). In the Bay Area, over 6,400 participants have been recruited since 2015 through online surveys and community outreach efforts. The cohort consists of adults aged 18 and older, representing a diverse demographic profile in terms of age, sex, and ethnicity. The study is currently still recruiting to reach its goal of 10,000 baseline participants, with annual follow-ups to assess changes and various dimensions of well-being.
