The SUN study's main aim is to evaluate the associations between nutrition, lifestyle, and chronic diseases. The study began in 1999 and is an open-enrolment cohort in Spain, consisting of more than 23,000 university graduates as of 2025. Participants are sent a questionnaire every two years to complete, which varies in length and content. The study is expected to run until 2075.
