SveDem is a registry developed to improve the quality of diagnostic work-up, treatment and care of patients with dementia disorders in Sweden. The database was initiated in 2007 and covers almost all of Sweden. Patients diagnosed with dementia are registered and followed up yearly until death. From 2007 to 2023, over 110,000 patients with dementia were registered. From 2021 to 2023, over 2,500 individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) were also registered.
