The TAM study follows the life course and well-being of a cohort of individuals born in 1967 from the Tampere area in Finland. The cohort were first surveyed in 1983 as part of a school survey among 2,194 adolescent pupils aged 16 who were attending comprehensive schools in Tampere. The participants of this 1983 survey have since been followed-up every 10 years through the ages of 16, 22, 32, 42 and 52, with the next follow-up planned for 2029 when the participants are aged 62.
